Charlee Sorensen Crowned Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen 2020



February 29th, 2020 The Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen competition took place in Provo. Out of the 41 competitors, Charlee Sorensen Miss Panaramaland’s Outstanding Teen was crowned the new teen title holder. This was Sorensen’s third time competing for the title. The previous years she was able to land a Top 5 and Top 8 spot before moving on to winning the crown this year. Sorensen is also the first title holder who has a sister who was Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen in 2015. During this weekend Sorensen was able to walk away with over $4,400 in scholarship money. She was also given the Outstanding Vocalist Award along with Preliminary Talent winner. Sorensen will spend the next year serving Utah and spreading her platform “The Upstander Revolution”. She is currently 16 and a student at Richfield High School.



  • 1st Runner-up: Miss Weber County’s OT, Gracie Kay Nichols received a $2500 scholarship, and preliminary fitness award. 
  • 2nd Runner-up: Miss Jordan River’s OT, Madison Nelson received a $1500 scholarship
  • 3rd Runner-up: Miss Canyonland’s OT, Isabel Hallows received a $1,000 scholarship and received the preliminary fitness, as well as preliminary evening gown award. 
  • 4th Runner-up: Miss Corner Canyon’s OT, Grace Mead received $750 scholarship 

(Along with the MUOT scholarships, Dixie State and Weber State offered Tuition waivers to the 2020 royalty.)



Remaining Top Ten after royalty was selected. Each finalist received a $250 scholarship.

  • Inouye Be Kind Award - Miss Salt Creek’s OT, Macey Christensen 


In all, The Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen Scholarship Fund was able to provide $233,700 total scholarships and In-Kind donations.
